The sound is balanced without any specific frequency standing out. This makes this snare EQ-ready and will make the rest of your set sound better too.

Tuning made easy

When we talk about ‘tuning’ a drum, ‘tension’ isn’t a factor. You tune a drum to get the pitch and sound we want. Once the tuning is done, tension is just a result. This means that the tension may not be what you expect, and this doesn’t matter as long as the drum is tuned correctly.
Whatever tension is needed to tune the drum is determined by the thickness of the head(s).

With a fully free-floating system, you can not make mistakes with setting the snare up. You cannot make mistakes tuning it, and the whole system is better protected against wear and tear.
