The outer steel ring carries the strainer/throw‑off and all double‑ended aluminium tube lugs, forming a solid one‑piece tuning system with zero shell contact. Because all lugs respond to each other, tension is distributed evenly around the hoops rather than forced through isolated pressure points.

This mirrors the classic Welsh Tuning System, which avoids multiple tension spots and dramatically improves tuning stability.

You can tailor the interval between heads using different combinations:

• Double‑ply batter (2 × 7.5 mil) + 3 mil reso → larger interval
