This is a prototype snare with converted tube lugs that can make this conventional snare into a free-floating snare.

The scrub screws that hold the tube lug in place are moved to the front, so they can be released from the outside of the snare.

With one turn of a hex key, you can make this snare into a free-floating snare, or you can just level the top and bottom heads for a perfect pitch.

The shell is made from spalted maple. This makes the wood softer in places.

It is finished with non-toxic French Polis, which gives it a beautiful glossy shine.

The strainer and butt-end are from Sonor.
